Welcome Sarah Margaret
Sarah finally joined us on the first of November at 6:45 in the morning. She came fast. We arrived at the hospital in Payson UT at midnight and it didn't take long to get checked in and have Bonnie preped for the delivery. There were issues with finding a vein for fliuds and medicine, but the pain of contractions overshadowed any discomfort the nurses may have caused...
The epidural didn't work completely, as could be assumed by the repeated exclamations of 'I SHOULDN'T BE FEELING THIS!!!' from bonnie as she had contractions. It left a particularly irritaging mussle in her stomach able to feel every detail. After the birth, if you ask her, she will tell you that it was nice to be able to 'feel' the birth, but that she has no need to experiance it again during any future deliveries.
I spent three days in the hospital with her as she recovered and the nursery has Sarah in the NICU while excess fluid in her lungs (left there by the speedy delivery) was absorbed back into her system or expelled. Other than the lung fluid and being very jondised, she is a perfectly healthy baby. We ended up getting a light box for Sarah so we could take here home and still deal with the jaundice. It took a little over a week after bringing her home before the doctors said that we could take her off the lights.
Take a look at the photo albums of her birth and our new life with Sarah for some great photos!
