Aspen Grove
Our family got a last minute chance to go to BYU's alumni family camp up on Mt. Timpanogous this year when they offered the camp at half price to BYU employees. We went up the second weak of June (11th-17th)
It was very convenient being close to home. We must have come down the mountain 4 times during the week for various reasons.
Unfortunately we weren't able to take full advantage of our time there because the first morning, Sara climbed up on the air conditioning vent to look out the window, exclaiming 'Mommy, the sun came up!' and promptly walked off it in the dark, tweaking her neck. We took her to the doctor Sunday morning for it and also because we though she might have strep throat. No strep, but she had to take it easy, meaning Mommy and Daddy spent most their time baby sitting.
Ellie got a bad flu bug after the first day of activities, so she was out the rest of the week too. We almost came home for good Wednesday morning, but decided to stick it out.
We got some nice pictures as we took the girls around the camp in strollers. We all got to paint some ceramic figures, I did the Ropes course (glad I got that out of my system -- I wont need to do anything like that again any time soon) and Bonnie got to try her hand at pottery (Ellie and Sarah even got to play on a potters wheel for a while.)
We got to have some good family time, but I think that we missed most of what the camp had to offer.
