Thanksgiving November 24th 2005
The festivities began on the 23rd with Bryan's family arriving at your home here in Provo. We had Mom & Dad, Randy & Britny, & Scott. We really missed Shaun & Shannon's fam!!!! We had such a house full........I LOVED IT!!!
On Thursday morning we all woke up and ate a french toast breakfast and made the salads that we were going to take over to "Fave Unk Steve & Fave Ant Patty’s" house down in Nephi Utah, which is about a 40 mile drive....I think.
When we got to Steve & Patty's, there were so many other "Fave Ants & Fave Unks" there with cousins galore!! Grandma Rasmussen was there as well. The T. V. was set on a football game while the kitchen was buzzing with food preparations. With so many hands in the house, several of us opted to go out to Uncle Steve's garage and see his many toys. He was so sweet to share!!
After a short while we had 3 four-wheelers ready to test the mountains near by. There were several of us who wanted to go but somehow Bryan & I, Randy & Brittny, and Scott were the only ones who got to go for a ride. The air was cool but the excitement kept us warm.
Now I know what you're all thinking...............................
After about 10 minutes on the 4-wheelers, riding over all of that rough & rocky terrain, I opted to get off of the machine to let Bryan play. My bellie started to feel as if it was being pulled in a funny way. I assumed that it was stress on the baby so I quickly abandoned my thrill-seeking activity.
I do have to admit that those machines pulled out the dare-devil in both Bryan & Brittny. We all knew that Scotty was fairly crazy but Randy & I were shocked with how much Bryan & Brittny played on the machines. It was so much fun!!! After a while, Uncle Steve came up with his Jeep with some of the other people who didn't get to ride a 4-wheeler. I guess he took them over some rough terrain as well.
After a few hours of "dink'n" around, we ended up back at the house for dinner. There were miles and miles of different kinds of yummy dishes just waiting to be consumed. We all ate and ate and ate!!! Once dinner was done, things were cleaned up, the football game went back on, and several cousins fell asleep on the couches. Everyone sat around and visited, which was a lot of fun.
Towards the end of the evening, most of the gang went down into the movie theater and watched a Christmas movie. Slowly the party began to leave for their homes. What a fun time we all had!!
